4-Hydroxy-Tamoxifen Definition
A tamoxifen metabolite with both estrogenic and anti-estrogenic effects. 4-hydroxytamoxifen has a higher affinity for the estrogen receptor than tamoxifen, and functions as an antagonist in breast cancer cells. (NCI04)
