Human ATF2 wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 2q32 and is approximately 96 kb in length. This allele, which encodes cyclic AMP-dependent transcription factor ATF-2 protein, is involved in the regulation of both cyclic AMP-dependent transcription and histone acetylation.
