Encoded by human Arrestin Beta 1 Gene, 418-amino acid 47 kD Beta-Arrestin 1 (Arrestin Family) regulates Beta-Adrenergic Receptor function. Beta-Arrestins appear to bind phosphorylated Beta-Adrenergic receptors, impairing G(s) protein activation. (Swiss-Prot and NCI)
