Chlorothiazide Definition
A synthetic thiazide derivative similar to hydrochlorothiazide and used in the treatment of edema, hypertension, diabetes insipidus, and hypoparathyroidism, diuretic Chlorothiazide reduces renal tubule electrolyte reabsorption and increases water and electrolyte excretion (sodium, potassium, chloride, and magnesium).
