Herba Scutellariae Barbatae Definition
A Chinese herbal extract, isolated from the plant Scutellaria barbata D. Don (Lamiaceae) with potential antineoplastic activity. Containing the antioxidant flavone scutellarin, herba scutellaria barbata has been shown to induce apoptosis of ovarian and breast tumor cells in vitro.
