Mouse Parathyroid Gland Definition
Two small paired endocrine glands located in the posterior region of the thyroid gland. Principle cell types include chief cells and oxyphil cells. The glands secrete parathyroid hormone and are concerned with the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus.
