NTRK1 Tropomyosin Chimeric Protein Definition
Ntrk1/Tropomyosin chimeric protein is encoded by the TRK gene, formed by a somatic rearrangement involving the neighboring genes for Neurotrophic Tyrosine Kinase Receptor type 1 and nonmuscle Tropomyosin. Replacement of the receptor extracellular domain by nonmuscle Tropomyosin residues leads to transformation by the chimeric TRK oncogene product. (from OMIM 164970 and NCI)
