Human PSCA wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 8q24.2 and is approximately 2 kb in length. This allele, which encodes prostate stem cell antigen protein, may play a role in extracellular interactions. The wild-type allele is a potential therapeutic target for patients with metastatic prostate cancer.
