Platelet Activation Definition
Platelet Activation involves initiation of a set of stimulated platelet activities involved in aggregation of platelets and fibrin during blood coagulation. Containing mitochondria and granules of active enzymes, blood platelets are non-nucleated irregular disk-shaped cytoplasmic fragments of megakaryocytes and shed from the marrow sinus into the peripheral blood.
