Recombinant Human IL-4 Definition
A recombinant agent which is chemically identical to or similar to the endogenous cytokine interleukin 4 (IL-4) with potential antineoplastic activity. Recombinant IL-4 may induce cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) activity, thereby increasing the cytotoxic host immune response against tumor cells. (NCI04)
