Replens Definition
A commercial combination preparation, by Roberts Pharmaceutical, that contains the adhesive polycarbophil polymer used for vaginal lubrication. Polycarbophil is an insoluble compound that absorbs water and adheres to vaginal epithelial cells. As a result, it helps moisturize vaginal tissue and relieve associated discomfort due to vaginal dryness.
