The result of a t(12;21) translocation, TEL-AML1 Oncogene encodes a fusion protein containing the helix-loop-helix domain of TEL, a member of the ETS-like family of transcription factors, and the DNA-binding and transactivation domains of the transcription factor AML1. (NCI)
