Product of the SMARCB1 gene, hSNF5/INI1 protein is a member of the multi-protein SWI/SNF chromatin-remodeling complex that opens chromatin to facilitate target access by the transcription machinery. Two isoforms of hSNF5/INI1 are produced by alternative splicing. (from OMIM 601607 and NCI)
