Suradista Definition
A sulfonated distamycin A derivative exhibiting antiangiogenic activity. Suradista binds to the heparin and the selenate-binding sites on basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), thereby blocking the binding of bFGF to the FGF receptor and bFGF-induced vascularization. (NCI)
